Support for Turbine plans
Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCI) is supporting Government plans to build more wind farms around the British coast.
There are proposals to erect up to 7,000 wind turbines by 2020, boosting the amount of energy gained from wind by 30-fold.
Renewable energy currently accounts for just 2% of Britain's power. The BCI said there would be opportunities for the city's manufacturers as demand for turbines increased, icBirmingham reported.
