Computer games firms join networking project
Computer games firms in the East of England are signing up to a new business network which will provide them with specialist support.
Games Eden will act as a networking group, so firms can share knowledge and collaborate with ideas. Digital games are considered one of the key drivers of the area's fast-growing creative industry.
The project will be funded for two years by a number of bodies, including the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and East of England International (EEI).
An EEDA spokesman said:
"It is vital we help to support and develop it if we are to continue to grow the regional economy in future years."Many businesses within the region are significant international players and we believe that specialised support for the sector, through a dedicated network, will create further success."
