Scottish shop sales slow
Scotland's shoppers are following the pattern of the rest of the UK and tightening their purse strings, according to the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC).
Its Retail Sales Monitor for November showed a 0.5% increase in like-for-like sales, compared to a year earlier - only slightly better than October's increase which was the weakest sales growth since March 2006.
Scotland's performance was weaker than the UK average, which saw a 1.2% increase in like-for-like growth in November.
