Panel to help firms make most of Games
A panel is being set up to help small businesses reap rewards when the Commonwealth Games come to Glasgow in 2014.
Organisations including the city council, the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and the Scottish government have teamed up to help businesses seeking contracts related to the sporting event.
The panel aims to help remove obstacles to local businesses which want to tender for contracts, flag up opportunities and ensure Glasgow businesses receive the necessary support to make the most of the Games-related opportunities.
More than 500 firms have already registered their interest in Games-related contracts, The Scotsman reported.
