No equal rights for temps
Moves to give temporary workers the same employment rights as permanent staff have been put on hold.
Britain and Germany blocked the move, which was being discussed by the European Union (EU), meaning it will not be debated again until next year, even though a majority of EU employment ministers support the idea.
The UK Government fears such a move would damage flexibility in the labour market and there are concerns that firms would be put off employing temporary staff, Freelance UK reported.
