New Money Laundering Regulations to come into force

Businesses are being advised to get ready for the new Money Laundering Regulations which come into force on 15th December.

The Regulations are expected to affect Money Service Businesses (MSBs) Trust or Company Service Providers (TCSPs), High Value Dealers (HVDs) and Accountancy Service Providers (ASPs).

The new Regulations will revoke and replace the 2003 Regulations. From 15 December, businesses are expected to put anti-money laundering controls in place.

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has guidance notes on its website to help businesses understand the new Regulations.
