Flexible working on the rise
The traditional office hours of nine-to-five are in decline as more Britons embrace a flexible working culture.
That's according to the latest Work-Life Balance Employer Survey, commissioned by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
The report revealed that 95% of workplaces surveyed offer flexible working for staff. 92% of employers are prepared to consider a request to change working hours from any employee.
The research will tie in with a Government review of flexible working schemes, which will help ministers assess the best methods to help employers deal with flexible working requests from parents with older children.
