Firms want high-tech crime unit
The Corporate IT Forum is calling on the Government to do more to tackle cyber crime. It says the Home Office must keep its word and set up a police unit to deal with professional criminal gangs.
It follows the abolition of the National High Tech Crime Unit last year, which the forum says has left a vacuum.
Currently, such crime is reported to local police, who the forum says do not have sufficient technical knowledge to deal with it, the BBC reported.
