Consultation to help disabled people into work
A new consultation aiming to help disabled people find work has been launched.
The consultation, entitled 'Helping people achieve their full potential: Improving Specialist Disability Employment Services', will focus on the provision of tailored support for disabled jobseekers. It will be complementary to other Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) reforms aiming to support people who need help to find and stay in a job.
Minister for Disabled People Anne McGuire said:
"Over the last ten years we have helped over 350,000 disabled people into employment. But we are determined to go further, which is why today we are setting out how we think we can improve our services and deliver a more flexible and personal employment service."
