Welsh women entrepreneurs decline
The lack of women entrepreneurs is costing the Welsh economy £1 billion annually, it's been claimed.
Chwarae Teg, a body set up to promote the role of women in business, says figures showing a fall in the number of Welsh women with their own enterprises is disappointing, icWales reported.
It was reacting to the State of Women's Enterprise in the UK report by Prowess, which said early-stage female entrepreneurial activity in Wales had fallen to 3.7% of the population in 2006. Two years earlier, it was 4.5%.
