Little work has been done on ID theft but experts say businesses need to adopt a strategic approach to catching out liars.

According to one expert, liars tend to stick to their story in chronological order and can be caught out by disrupting their account and asking them to tell their story from a week earlier, Credit Today reported.

People who tell a story that is not in order, is full of details and tends to 'leap around' are far more likely to be telling the truth, it was concluded.
