Sick people willing to work from home
Two out of three employees say they are happy to work from home on days they call in sick, according to a new report.
Travelling into work was often the barrier that kept people at home when they were unwell, the report by NTL: Telewest Business said.
The report's authors told Personnel Today that allowing people to work flexibly helped both employers and employees, and the UK is losing millions of pounds every year through sick days taken when people are too ill to travel rather than too ill to work.
