Online traders to receive regulation reminders
Online auction sites, including eBay, QXL and Tazbar, have agreed to include or update information that business users and consumers should be aware of.
After talks with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), they have agreed to inform businesses selling through the site of their obligations through the E-Commerce Regulations (ECRs).
Consumers will also be informed about their rights to change their mind of about a purchase with information and links to the Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs).
