Firms lax on choosing website names

Firms spend the same amount of time choosing a new coffee maker as they do picking a website address for their firm.

According to a survey, 40% admitted they spent less than an hour choosing the name of their business website - around the same length of time it took to choose a new coffee machine.

Two-thirds said they probably wouldn't ask for a second opinion on the name, the survey by web hosting firm Fasthosts said.

A further 5% said they were not sure of the correct name or spelling of their website once it had gone live, Freelance UK reported.
