Bread prices at all-time high
Food price inflation has pushed the cost of a loaf of bread to its highest ever level, according to a new report.
Food industry magazine The Grocer said the average loaf now costs £1.12 after three price rises this year.
Other basic food has also risen in price - milk by 4p a pint in just one month and butter by 15% to 78p per 250g.
The cost of wheat and vegetables is expected to increase by 30% by Christmas, This Is Money reported.
