Anti-pirated software campaign
Businesses using pirated computer software are facing a crackdown.
The Business Software Alliance (BSA) is starting a series of campaigns in Glasgow, which after London and Manchester is the UK's third worst city for software piracy.
The BSA is writing to around 8,000 small business owners in the city asking them to check that their software is legal and informing them they should comply with the law within 30 days. Local radio stations will also carry adverts about the campaign.
Firms that are caught using pirated software could face fines of tens of thousands of pounds, The Scotsman reported.
