Data breaches continue to rise
IT breaches affecting financially sensitive information are set to grow at the rate of 20% annually for the next two years, according to new statistics.
IT research company Gartner says businesses are defending themselves against hackers but they are often not reporting financial attacks that cause "enormous damage".
Gartner said the best way firms could guard themselves was by avoiding vulnerabilities rather than spending more on IT security, Contractor UK reported.
