Brits research goods online before spending
Almost three-quarters (74%) of shoppers plan to use the Internet to research items before parting with their money this Christmas.
A survey by search engine optimisation firm Netrank predicts that shoppers will spend £17 billion online this Christmas, a 60% increase on last year.
Netrank said selling online was about earning a good reputation, not just offering products at the cheapest prices.
The figure is higher than the £14 billion that researcher Forrester predicts Brits will spend online this festive season.
