More red tape complaints
Businesses are complaining that they're being strangled by red tape.
A new report by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) suggests the cost of complying with business legislation involving maternity leave and the National Minimum Wage (NMW) is more than £10 billion.
A third of those businesses quizzed said the balance between regulation and enterprise growth had deteriorated, The Scotsman reported.
