Health and safety red tape 'stifles growth'

Small business growth could be stifled by the raft of health and safety legislation that must be complied with, it's been claimed.

According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), 72% of small firms believe health and safety regulations are more bureaucratic than they were five years ago, the Liverpool Daily Post reported.

It says a less complex regime could help businesses to grow and is calling for a more common sense approach, which small businesses would be better able to comply with.
