Firms urged to retain older workers
Employers in Wales are being urged to keep on staff past the official retirement age.
Older Workers in Wales, a report by the Wales Management Council and Age Concern Cymru, says business owners have to get rid of their negative attitudes towards older staff and use the skills and talents they have.
The report also called for public funds to introduce a phased retirement, like that seen in Europe.
It said the abrupt end to people's working lives was often psychologically damaging, icWales reported.
