English qualifications for employers
New work-based English language qualifications have been introduced to help migrant workers and the businesses that employ them.
The Government says the new English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for Work qualifications are tailored to meet the needs of employers.
They are shorter in duration and are more work-focused than traditional ESOL qualifications.
The Government hopes the newly structured courses will encourage businesses to contribute towards the cost of training the migrant workers they employ.
