Warning of economic slowdown
The UK economy is predicted to slow down more than expected next year, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Its Economic Survey of the United Kingdom 2007 said that high interest rates and the turmoil in the financial markets would impact on growth.
The economy is expected to expand at a more subdued rate next year, which could point to the need for interest
rate reductions, The Guardian reported.
