Legal updates for entrepreneurs
Businesses are being reminded about a number of changes to legislation which come into force tomorrow (1 October).
They include the introduction of a number of parts of the Companies Act 2006 and the introduction of the Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Regulations 2007.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) increases to £5.52 an hour for adults of 22 and over, to £4.60 an hour for 18 - 21 year olds and £3.40 for 16 - 17 year olds.
The statutory holiday entitlement also rises to a minimum of 24 days a year for employees working a five-day week.
