New mums want own businesses
More than half of new mums want to start up their own business rather than return to work after having a baby, a new study claims.
The report, by Tesco, quizzed 2,000 mothers. It said one in ten had felt discriminated against at work after they became pregnant, Ananova reported.
It used the report, which also found one in five women wanted to work from home after having children, to predict an increase in the number of female-owned businesses in the UK.
