Manchester beats Birmingham in city league
Manchester has leapfrogged Birmingham to be considered Britain's second best city for business after London.
That's according to the UK Cities Monitor drawn up by commercial estate agents Cushman & Wakefield.
Researchers surveyed more than 200 businesses around the UK to come up with their conclusions.
The report also looked at what was important to businesses when choosing a location. The ease of recruiting staff, followed by easy access to customers and clients and cost factors were the most vital issues.
It is the second year of the survey. Last year's results put London in top position, followed by Birmingham in second.
