The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) wants to hear views on whether exemptions for vehicle restorers and historic buildings would work via a licensing scheme.

The directive bans the use of certain paint products but the UK successfully argued the case for keeping certain traditional paints to be used in vehicle restoration and in historic houses.
