Cabbies get Chip and PIN
Taxis in Liverpool are starting to accept fares paid on plastic.
Around 100 of the city's cabs are expected to be fitted with the CabCard Services Chip and PIN payment system by the end of next week, following a successful trial.
Hundreds more black cabs have applied for the machines. CabCard told the Liverpool Daily Post it expected the machines to be in the majority of the city's hackney carriages by next year.
