Supplier concerns over supermarket power
British food suppliers think supermarkets have too much power and 80% believe more supply firms are likely to go bust.
The results are from a study by chartered accountants Grant Thornton, which also found a quarter of suppliers had seen an order greatly reduced or cancelled at short notice without compensation, by the supermarkets.
Around two-thirds of supplier did not have formal contracts with the multiples, which can lead to these changes and complications, the BBC reported.
