Flood funds pay-outs begin
Regional development agencies (RDAs) have started to pay out emergency funds to help businesses hit by this summer's flooding to get back on their feet.
Smaller firms in Yorkshire and Humberside have received the first payments from Yorkshire Forward. It has paid out £500,000 and, so far, has approved more than 300 payments from more than 600 applications.
The South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWEDA) has offered more than £350,000 to businesses. Almost 400 firms have contacted SWEDA to ask for help.
