More restaurants are opening than ever before but the industry also has a high failure rate.
Restaurant guide Harden's says 158 restaurants opened in London last year but 89 closed. It says that running a restaurant looks easy on paper, the BBC reported.
The annual guide also expects the rate of closure to increase in the next 12 months.
