Firms mistrust Dragons' advice

TV enterprise programmes like Dragons' Den are good at encouraging start ups but do little to help established smaller firms, according to new research.

Firms questioned by Abbey Business said the advice meted out on the show did not apply to them and half said they would trust their own judgment, rather than advice from the Dragons.

Only Duncan Bannatyne, the Dragon who runs a string of health clubs and casinos, was seen as offering useful advice, Freelance UK reported.
