Firms advised to look at insurance details
Firms have major lessons to learn from the flooding that recently hit large swathes of the UK.
They should especially think about the clauses in their insurance policies, according to accountants Mazars.
It says some otherwise unaffected firms faced problems because they were unable to access their premises. Businesses are being advised to consider denial of access insurance along with policies that cover physical damage and business interruption.
Mazars advised firms to carry out a full risk assessment to find potential issues that could affect them, icBirmingham reported.
