Employers think twice about recruiting women
Changes to maternity legislation are causing smaller businesses to exercise caution when recruiting women.
Research by Citrix Online revealed that 53% of employers think the regulations are causing managers to think twice about employing women.
The survey also found that 34% of smaller firms were unaware of changes to maternity legislation, which were effective from 1 April this year, Recruiter Magazine reported.
