Acas launches course on age discrimination laws

Employment arbitration service Acas has launched an online course to help firms understand more about the legislation surrounding age discrimination.

The free course is available on the Acas website to registered users. It aims to help employers ensure they have a fair workplace free of age discrimination.

Acas says that, although the age discrimination laws came into force on 1 October 2006, just 17% of firms have changed their employment and recruitment practices since the introduction of the legislation.
