University help for green businesses
Three universities in Wales have joined forces to help businesses boost their profitability and green credentials.
Bangor, Aberystwyth and Swansea universities have set up the Welsh Institute for Sustainable Environments (Wise Network), which will assist businesses in the European Union (EU) Objective One areas of West Wales and the Valleys.
It will work with businesses to develop the environmental goods and services sector, icWales reported.
The £8.5 million initiative is receiving £4.7 million from the EU and the Welsh Assembly Government, with additional funding coming from the three universities.
