TV boost for town
A TV show's economic boost to a small town and the surrounding areas has been estimated at £2.5 million.
Kingdom, the Sunday evening drama shown earlier this year on ITV1, was filmed in and around Swaffham in Norfolk.
The 'Kingdom effect' will be responsible for putting £2.5 million into the local economy by the time filming has finished on the the second series, the Eastern Daily Press reported.
Producers said they had turned to local businesses for everything from food and drink to scaffolding, props and costumes for the programme, which stars Stephen Fry as country solicitor Peter Kingdom.
