Smoking ban encourages diners
Around a third of people are more likely to eat out now that the smoking ban has come into force in England, according to a report.
Advisory firm Deloitte spoke to 1,000 people and found just 9% planned to eat out less frequently following the ban.
It said that pubs and restaurants had a real opportunity to boost their food offering and attract a new clientele who had previously been put off by smoky atmospheres, The Publican reported.
