Slowdown for grocery sales
Sales of groceries grew at their slowest rate for more than a year in the three months to 15 July, according to researcher TNS Worldpanel.
The slowdown was attributed to the wet weather and slower consumer spending.
The groceries market grew by 4% in the 12-week period, the slowest rate since May last year.
Researchers pointed out that the figures were being compared to the busy World Cup period a year earlier, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.
