Anti-ageism law is having an effect
A significant number of businesses have already been subject to claims under the new age discrimination legislation introduced in October last year.
Law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) found that more than one in ten organisations it surveyed had received a claim under the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006.
More than half (55%) of the businesses surveyed also said they thought the UK workplace was over-regulated.
