Profits up at eBay
Online auction giant eBay has announced a rise in profits but the number of people listing products on the site has fallen.
Profits for the second quarter of the year rose by 50% to $376 million, from $250 million in the same period a year earlier.
In addition to auctions, eBay's profits came from its online money transfer business PayPal and its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service Skype, the BBC reported.
