Poor sales growth in Scotland
Retail sales in Scotland are showing their slowest rate of growth for 15 months.
The monthly figures from the British Retail Consortium's (BRC) Scottish Retail Sales Monitor showed like-for-like sales in June were 1.8% higher than a year earlier.
The figure is the weakest since March 2006, when the statistics were distorted by when Easter fell.
The poor weather affected sales of food, clothing, footwear, gardening and outdoor goods. Better sales were seen, however, in indoor goods and beauty products.
Scotland's performance was worse than the UK average, where like-for-like sales growth for June was 3%.
