Percentage of self-employed people falls
More people are turning away from self-employment for the security of a nine-to-five job, it's been claimed.
A report by The Work Foundation, called Labour under Labour, says that the number of self-employed people in Britain will reach four million this year but the percentage of people setting up their own businesses is slowing.
In the last ten years, the percentage of self-employed people has dipped from 13.4% to 12.9%.
A Work Foundation spokesman told This Is Money that setting up in business meant more anxiety and financial insecurity for many people.
