Lack of Northern entrepreneurship reviewed
A review is to be carried out into the low level of entrepreneurship in the North.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to carry out the assessment as part of an exploration into why the North is still economically lagging behind the South.
The Innovation Review of the North of England will look at why the area's performance is dragging behind other industrialised areas.
The review is expected to last up to 10 months, with the results due for publication in autumn 2008, the Northern Echo reported.
