Government vows to tackle red tape
The Government has announced new plans to tackle red tape.
John Hutton, the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), wants to provide clearer guidance for businesses to meet their legal obligations more easily.
Mr Hutton said:
"We have put regulatory reform at the heart of our efforts to create the right conditions for business success by putting the Better Regulation Executive in the new department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform."
He also said transparency and prioritisation, simplifications and improved delivery would also be key parts of the Government's efforts to create a dynamic business environment.
