Extra cash for training
Small businesses on Merseyside are to have access to an extra £10 million for training their staff.
The money, from the European Objective 1 Programme, will go to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) Greater Merseyside for a new phase of SkillWorks.
Businesses can access up to £60,000 each for training until the end of July next year. LSC has appointed Train to Gain brokers to help firms decide what sort of training they need, The Liverpool Daily Post reported.
