Estate agents told to take on Tesco
Estate agency businesses are being urged to join together to beat the challenge posed by Tesco's entry into the market.
It's feared the supermarket giant will take a significant share of the market from estate agents and possibly kill off the industry for good.
Tesco's online estate agency Tescopropertymarket.com is a DIY home selling service, offering customers the chance to cut out the middleman and save on estate agency fees.
Estate agency OneMove said it feared if the industry did not band together, small local offices would be forced out of business, The Independent reported.
