The Scottish Retail Excellence Awards have been put together by the Daily Record newspaper and Scottish Business Insider magazine, and are backed by the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC).

The awards are aimed at all Scottish retailers, from the small independents to the large multiples. There are nine categories and nominations must be in by 13 August.

An SRC spokeswoman said:

"It is important that the contribution of retailers is properly recognised and that the sector's top achievers and innovators are rewarded for their efforts."
