Teenager's website sold for £630,000

A teenager who developed a video streaming website two years before the launch of YouTube has sold his business for £630,000.

The Bath University student came up with HolyLemon.com to show animations he had made to his friends while he was studying for his GCSEs.

He has now sold the site to computer company Handheld Entertainment, despite refusing several earlier offers from other firms, icBirmingham reported.

He has taken shares in the parent company and plans to invest in two new ventures he is working on.
