Supermarket turns to milk bags
Supermarket Waitrose is to sell milk in bags as part of its efforts to go green.
The idea is to be tested in 17 stores. The milk bags will be sold alongside jugs, which users can pour the opened milk in to store in fridge.
Waitrose said the bags contained 75% less plastic than milk bottles do, less energy is expended when making the bags and they take up less space when disposed of, The Scotsman reported.
